Annual Retreats
Every year, the consortium comes together for a dedicated annual retreat, providing a platform to review and discuss the current progress of all projects, share new ideas and insights, and foster interdisciplinary exchange. This meeting plays a central role in strengthening collaborations, initiating new research directions, and deepening scientific dialogue across the CRC 1371 community.
CRC 1371 organized a 3-day (April 2026) International Scientific Symposium on “Microbiome Signatures - The Functional Relevance in the Digestive Tract” at Nymphenburg (Munich). A number of outstanding international (Christine Moissl-Eichinger, Austria; Colin Hill; Ireland; Mahesh Desai, Luxembourg; Henrik Munch Roager, Denmark; Nicola Segata, Italy; Emma Slack, Switzerland/UK) and national experts (Mathieu Groussin, Kiel; Samuel Huber, Hamburg; Jörg Vogel, Würzburg) together with approximately 100 peers and students discussed novel findings in microbiome research.
